Kristjan Mikaelsson

Kristjan Mikaelsson is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a strong focus on technology and blockchain initiatives. As a Founding Partner at MGMT Ventures since February 2019, Kristjan specializes in investing in enduring long-arch trends. Concurrently, Kristjan serves as a Founding Partner and Board member at Viska Digital Assets, and as Chairman of the Icelandic Blockchain Foundation, after previously holding the role of Managing Director. Additional roles include Chairman and Investor at Smart Data Inc., Founding Partner at GreenBlocks specializing in large-scale Bitcoin mining, and Board Member at the International Carbon Registry. Kristjan also founded Gefum Áfram, an Icelandic non-profit aimed at facilitating charitable donations. Kristjan's educational background includes studies at the Commercial College of Iceland, completed in 2013.
