Amanda Blokland

Amanda Blokland has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Amanda started their career at Interpolis as a Test Engineer, conducting functional acceptance tests and compatibility tests for the company's website. After that, they joined Sogeti Nederland B.V. as a (Senior) Test Engineer, where they optimized the test process and improved cooperation between the Dutch and Indian teams.

In 2008, Amanda moved to International Card Services, where they worked as a Test Coordinator and Testing Gateway Consultant, responsible for planning and coordinating FAT testing activities for an international credit card company. Amanda led teams of up to 5 test engineers, including Indian testers.

Amanda then joined Veiligheidsregio Utrecht as a Senior Test Coordinator, testing two new standard applications for the fire department. Amanda focused on the suitability and usability of the software.

Amanda continued their career at ING, where they held several roles. Amanda initially worked as a Senior Test Consultant, and later became a Test Coordinator/Scrum Master. Amanda set up the test approach for new deliveries, coordinated regression tests and test automation, facilitated knowledge sharing, and improved the test process. Amanda also transitioned to a DevOps approach in this role.

In 2016, Amanda joined Inspectie voor de Gezondheidszorg as a Test Coordinator, where they integrated and professionalized testing activities in the application management processes and implemented Jira. Amanda also helped the organization understand the benefits of Scrum and Agile working.

Currently, Amanda is working at International Card Services as a Product Owner. Amanda led a team in digitalizing all procedures and providing upload possibilities for internal customers, ultimately improving the processing time and customer journey. Amanda also holds the position of Lead Product Owner in the same company.

Amanda Blokland's education history begins with their enrollment at Sint-Oelbertgymnasium from 1993 to 1999, where they pursued their secondary education. Following that, from 2000 to 2001, they attended Utrecht University for Information Science/Studies, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution.

Amanda then pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Communication Science at Radboud University, which they completed from 2001 to 2006.
