Ajit Govind is a highly experienced Senior Climatologist and Systems Modeler at ICARDA since September 2018, focusing on climate-related research activities including climate dynamics, downscaling, and crop modeling. Prior roles include Associate Professor at the University of Kerala, a Senior Research Scientist at INRA, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oregon State University, where research centered on ecohydrological modeling and carbon dynamics. Ajit began academic involvement as a Research Assistant with the Canadian Carbon Program, progressing through teaching roles at the University of Toronto and research positions at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Education includes a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and an MSc from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
