Jonathan Bowdler FICA MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jonathan is currently the Global Lead for Postgraduate Qualifications at the International Compliance Association (ICA) since January 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Regulatory Compliance at ICA, where they developed and delivered GRC training and education programs across various regions, including the UK, Europe, Middle East, Far East, Russia, and emerging markets. Jonathan has also been involved in business development, research, writing, teaching, and mentoring during their tenure at ICA.
Before joining ICA, Jonathan was a member of the Compliance Officers Discussion Group from 2001 to 2015, where they actively participated in discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the compliance community.
Additionally, Jonathan has held key positions in other prominent organizations. Jonathan worked as a Senior Compliance Manager at GE Money from 2005 to 2008, where they contributed to ensuring regulatory compliance within the company. Prior to that, they served as the Emerging Risks Manager at Alliance and Leicester in 2005, focusing on identifying and managing emerging risks. Jonathan also served as the Head of Compliance at West Bromwich Building Society from 2003 to 2005.
With their extensive experience and expertise in regulatory compliance, Jonathan has made significant contributions to the field and continues to play a vital role in shaping the compliance landscape.
Jonathan Bowdler FICA MBA earned an MBA in Financial Services Compliance from Henley Business School, where they attended from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they obtained the ICA Fellow Member certification from the International Compliance Association in November 2022, as well as the ICA Fellow Membership certification in November 2009.
