Yateesh Begoore serves as an Associate Legal Officer at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) since September 2022, having previously held the position of Legal Officer at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from May 2019 to September 2022. During this time, Yateesh also completed a temporary assignment as a Senior Legal Analyst with UNOPS. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, a Legal Consultant at the United Nations, and an Analyst focused on Trade and Legal matters at the Ministry of External Affairs in India. Yateesh began academic contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgetown University Law Center and also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Christ University, Bangalore. Yateesh holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law and Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LL.B. Hons.) from Christ University, Bangalore.
