Azadeh Moaveni

Azadeh Moaveni is a freelance journalist with extensive experience in academia and conflict-related projects. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at New York University since September 2022 and as a Project Director for Gender and Conflict at the International Crisis Group since September 2018, Moaveni combines journalistic expertise with a focus on gender issues in conflict settings. Azadeh Moaveni holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
