Berkay Mandıracı is a Senior Analyst specializing in Turkey at the International Crisis Group since June 2015, focusing on migration management, jihadist militancy, armed non-state actors, and conflict dynamics in northern Iraq and Syria. Previously, Berkay served as an Analyst and Researcher for the Türkiye Ekonomik ve Sosyal Etüdler Vakfı (TESEV) from March 2014 to May 2015, where the role concentrated on democratization efforts. Additional experience includes working as a Project Assistant on an EU Twinning Project with the Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and the Turkish Ministry of Justice from January 2013 to March 2014, and serving as Deputy Director-General and Country Liaison Officer at BETA e.V. from June 2010 to December 2012. Berkay holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen, and a Bachelor of Arts from Boğaziçi University. Currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University, Berkay combines extensive academic credentials with practical experience in conflict and governance analysis.
