Lucy Ridout is a Program Manager at the International Crisis Group since January 2023, focusing on innovative solutions. Previously, Lucy served as a Researcher at the University of Essex Human Rights Centre Clinic, where research centered on anti-discrimination laws in the Middle East and North Africa. Lucy's experience includes roles as Programme Development Officer at UWC International and Communications Consultant at Global Partners Digital, both alongside LLM studies. Lucy has also held positions at Chatham House in the Asia-Pacific Programme, Lloyds Bank Foundation, Women for Women International, and the Confucius Institute. Lucy completed a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law at the University of Essex and holds a BA in Combined Hons. in Chinese Studies and English Literature from Newcastle University.
