Samina Ahmed serves as the Project Director for South Asia and Senior Advisor for Asia at the International Crisis Group, a position held since December 2001. With extensive expertise in political, social, economic, and military factors that contribute to instability and conflict, Samina Ahmed has a rich background in regional studies. Prior roles include serving as the South Asia Project Director and Senior Asia Adviser at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, a Research Fellow at The Asia Foundation, and a Senior Research Analyst at the Institute of Regional Studies. Samina Ahmed began their career as a researcher at the Pakistan Institute of International Affairs. Samina Ahmed holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Political Science and International Relations, respectively, from The Australian National University.
