Bhim Adhikari is a Senior Program Specialist at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) since March 2011, following roles as a Program Officer at the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) and a Visiting Researcher at the Asian Development Bank Institute. Adhikari served as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, a Consultant at TERI University, and held the position of Principal Expert for Poverty and Livelihood at IUCN. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship and lecturing at the University of York, research associate work at the Centre for Ecology, Law and Policy at the University of York, and an Environment Advisor role with UNDP. Bhim Adhikari possesses a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Economics and Management from the University of York.
