Joan MacNaughton

Joan MacNaughton CB is a highly experienced energy policy expert with a robust background in strategic energy analysis and climate policy. Currently serving as a member of the Advisory Council at the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis, Chair of the International Advisory Board at Energy Academy Europe, and a Trustee at The Climate Group, MacNaughton also holds the position of Executive Chair of the World Energy Trilemma for the World Energy Council. With previous roles including Fellow at the International Emissions Trading Association and Global Advisor for Sustainable Policies at Alstom, MacNaughton's extensive experience is complemented by an Honorary Fellowship at the Energy Institute and leadership in various international panels and boards focused on energy and climate initiatives. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Warwick.
