Ricardo J. MacHado

Ricardo J. Machado is a leading academic and entrepreneur in the field of Information Systems Engineering and Technology. As the Founder and Executive Chairman of DTx - Digital Transformation CoLAB since 2018, Ricardo has established a collaborative network involving multiple universities, research laboratories, innovation centers, and companies. At the Universidade do Minho, Ricardo serves as a Full Professor and has played a pivotal role in the development of the Department of Information Systems, delivering lectures and contributing to research initiatives. Additional leadership positions include President of the CCG/ZGDV Institute, member of various boards such as NESSI and the Ordem dos Engenheiros, and involvement in several technical committees related to health information systems and electronic invoicing. Ricardo holds advanced degrees, including a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Universidade do Minho.
