Baba Emmanuel Moro Awasi

Baba Emmanuel Moro Awasi is an experienced professional with a strong background in disaster management and emergency response within humanitarian contexts. Currently serving as the Rapid Response Field Coordinator for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since March 2023, Baba Emmanuel provides support for national and field-level operations related to the Marburg disease outbreak. As the Head of Disaster Management for the South Sudan Red Cross since June 2020 and a Movement Cooperation Field Officer with the International Committee of the Red Cross since 2014, Baba Emmanuel has demonstrated expertise in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Previous experience includes the role of Protection Program Manager with the International Rescue Committee from 2014 to 2015 and Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute from January 2013 to April 2014.
