Laura Duffy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laura started their career as a Finance Associate at Trimark Trust, TD Bank, where they balanced and cleared internal accounts and acted as a liaison for external clients. In 1999, they joined International Financial Data Services Canada (IFDS), where they held various progressive roles overseeing domestic and international full service mutual fund companies. Laura'sresponsibilities included accurate reporting of commission fees, dividend accruals, and bank reconciliations. Laura also managed teams and made decisions regarding employment and performance reviews. In 2009, they took on the role of Group Manager, Trust Accounting Projects and Pricing at IFDS, where they played a leading role in onboarding new funds and implementing system enhancements. Laura then moved on to roles as Sr. Group Manager, Quality Control and Sr. Group Manager, Onshore and Offshore Transaction Services, where they were responsible for quality control and ensuring client service level agreements were met. Most recently, they assumed the role of Director, Risk & SLA Management at IFDS.
Laura Duffy has a diverse education history. In 1984 to 1990, they obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Branksome Hall. From 1991 to 1995, they attended Carleton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Law and Political Science. In 2002, they completed an Operations Course at the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). In 2014, Laura furthered their education by taking the Segregated Funds Course at IFIC. In 2017, they attended Prosci for ADKAR Change Management.
