Laurence Rohmer

Lead Scientist at IFF

Laurence Rohmer is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in bioinformatics and biotechnology research. Currently serving as Lead Scientist at IFF since March 2021, Laurence previously held positions as Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences from December 2013 to March 2021, focusing on the application of DNA sequencing technologies. Prior to that, Laurence worked as a Research Scientist at the Bioinformatics core at NWRCE Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases, University of Washington, from November 2004 to November 2013, providing analyses of bacterial pathogen genomes. Additional experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship in medical genetics at the University of Washington, and research roles at the University of North Carolina and Institut National de Recherche Agronomique. Laurence holds a PhD in Biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University and a B.Sc. in Structural Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Université Louis Pasteur.
