Matthias Meyerhans is the Director of the Administrative Services Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). His main responsibility is managing the implementation of the Headquarters Agreement with Italy, Corporate Procurement, Travel, Privileges & Immunities, Records and HQ Facilities & Sustainability Management, and Security.
Prior to joining IFAD, Meyerhans also worked as Chief of Logistics and Transportation in the UN Secretariat's Procurement Division, responsible for all logistics requirements for Peacekeeping missions worldwide from 2007 to 2010. He also worked as Procurement Officer for FAO in Rome (2003-2007) and IAEA in Vienna (2000-2003). Before joining the UN system, he was the Contracts Manager for Daimler-Benz Aerospace and EuroColumbus in Germany and Italy.
Meyerhans holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Social Sciences as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Socioeconomics and Business Administration from Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Politik, Germany. He is a guest lecturer on Sustainable Procurement for the University of Tor Vergata’s International Master on Public Procurement Management.
