Rasheed Akinleye Hammed is currently a Young Scientists Summer Program Fellow at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), focusing on regional modeling of forest fires in Europe. Rasheed previously worked as a Research Assistant, examining areas burned in forest fires in Catalonia, and holds multiple academic roles at The University of Manchester, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Casual Researcher. With a strong educational background in Forestry and Environmental Management, Rasheed is presently pursuing a PhD in Physical Geography at The University of Manchester, following master's degrees in Spatial and Ecological Modelling from Universitat de Lleida and Agriculture and Forestry from the University of Eastern Finland. Additionally, Rasheed has been involved with the British Ecological Society and the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, among other organizations, demonstrating a commitment to ecological education and community development initiatives.
