Diane Bienek

Diane Bienek is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in overseeing scientific operations and driving innovation in various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Research at the International Institute for the Brain (iBrain) since April 2022, Diane previously held the position of Director of Research Operations at the American Dental Association from August 2013 to January 2022, where governance of the Innovation & Technology Research department took place. Prior roles include Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor of Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Principal Scientist at General Dynamics, and Senior Scientist at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. Diane's academic credentials include a PhD in Cell Biology and Physiology from the University of Alberta, a Master's degree in Biology with a focus on Infectious Disease from Utah State University, and a BA in Zoology from Weber State University.
