Paul Kah

Paul Kah serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for the International Institute of Welding since July 2022, focusing on the organization's strategy and governance. As the Programme Director of the Master's in Welding Technology and a Professor in the Department of Engineering Science at University West since February 2020, Kah specializes in welding technology and research aimed at optimizing arc welding processes, artificial intelligence applications in welding, and enhancing weld quality. Previous roles include Guest Professor and Associate Professor at LUT University from 2006 to January 2020, and postdoctoral research positions at the Academy of Finland and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Paul Kah holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from LUT University and International Welding Engineer certification from the International Institute of Welding.
