Aileen Yeo has a diverse and extensive work experience. Aileen is currently the Lead of Legal Services at International Justice Mission since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Legal Associate in the Employment & Compensation Practice Group at Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International from December 2019 to August 2021. Their responsibilities included handling employment and industrial relations matters, advising on immigration issues and data privacy, and providing legal support in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Before that, they worked as a Legal Associate in the Civil Litigation Department at Thomas Philip, Advocates & Solicitors from September 2016 to November 2019, specializing in general litigation and employment disputes. Aileen represented clients in civil and employment cases and conducted hearings at various levels of court. Aileen also gained valuable experience by shadowing a Circuit Judge at Cardiff Crown Court in October 2015. Additionally, they had internships at Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M), Arifin & Partners, and the Attorney General Chambers in various roles. Aileen Yeo completed a Bachelor of Laws - LLB degree at HELP University in 2013-2014, followed by a Bachelor of Laws - LLB degree at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2014-2015. Aileen then pursued further legal education at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd and obtained a Bar Professional Training Course qualification in 2015-2016. In terms of certifications, Aileen Yeo became an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017 through the Malaysian Bar, and they also obtained the designation of Barrister-at-law from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2016. Aileen Yeo also studied South Australian Matriculation at Taylor's College in 2012.
