Juan José Urbina

Juan José Urbina is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in employment policies and research in Central America. Currently serving as the National Coordinator for Employment Policies and Youth Employment at the International Labour Organization since December 2018, Juan José has previously held significant roles, including Country Coordinator and Research Economist at the Central American Institute for Fiscal Studies, where responsibilities included conducting research and preparing reports on fiscal policies. Additional experience includes project development at SACDEL, oversight of external evaluations at FUSADES, and academic contributions as a Graduate Assistant at Clark University. Juan José holds a Master of Business Administration in Sustainability and Social Change from Clark University and has a background in Environmental Management and Economics from Universidad Centroamericana 'José Simeón Cañas'.
