Ky Luu

Chief Operating Officer at INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS

Ky Luu is the current Chief Operating Officer at INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS. Luu has extensive experience in disaster resilience and management, having served as the Executive Director of Tulane University's Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA) from 2009 to 2016. In this role, Luu was responsible for the development and implementation of the DRLA's systems approach to disaster resilience, which aimed to build the capacity of professionals in the humanitarian and disaster management community to meet the needs of vulnerable populations affected by natural and manmade disasters.

Luu also served on the Mayor's Resilience Committee for 100 Resilient Cities - New Orleans from 2015 to 2016. In this role, Luu provided guidance to the Chief Resilience Officer for the development of the city's resilience strategy and its implementation.

Ky Luu earned a Doctor of Law from The George Washington University Law School.
