Jean-Marc Natal

Jean-Marc Natal is an experienced economist currently serving as the Acting Division Chief of the World Economic Studies Division at the International Monetary Fund since September 2011. With a robust background in economic analysis and policy, Jean-Marc has held several significant roles, including Deputy Chief of the World Economic Studies Division and Mission Chief for the European Department, where responsibilities included leading surveillance missions and managing expertise on financial regulations in Malta. The career also encompasses positions as Senior Germany Economist, coordinating macroeconomic advisories, and Global Projection Team Coordinator, overseeing the production of global economic projections. Prior experiences include serving as Deputy Director at the Swiss National Bank and as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Jean-Marc holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute and has contributed to academia as an Invited Professor.
