Liangliang Zhu is a Research Analyst at the International Monetary Fund in the Research Department, World Economic Studies Division since June 2023. Previously, Liangliang served as a Research Intern at the Institute of International Finance, focusing on the LATAM and Frontier LATAM team, as well as at The Brookings Institution within the Foreign Policy Department's John L. Thornton China Center. Additional experience includes a role as a Teaching Assistant for Empirical Finance at The Johns Hopkins University and previous internships in economic research and finance at Shenwan Hongyuan Securities Co., Ltd., the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, and China Guangfa Bank. Liangliang holds a Master's degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Beijing Institute of Technology.
