Ana Fonseca has extensive experience in migration management, currently serving as Chief of Mission (p.i) for IOM Niger after holding similar positions in Guinea, Liberia, and Morocco. With a career at IOM beginning in 1999, Ana has led the development of global policies and coordination efforts related to Voluntary Return and Reintegration, while also acting as Chief of Mission and managing international migration programs. Earlier roles include overseeing the operational evacuation of Kosovo refugees to Ireland and developing educational projects for the Cape Verdean community in Lisboa. Ana holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa.
