Frantz Celestin

Regional Director For East, Horn, And Southern Africa at IOM - UN Migration

Frantz Celestin currently serves as the Regional Director for East, Horn, and Southern Africa at IOM - UN Migration, providing strategic leadership across 25 countries with a focus on saving lives and facilitating regular migration. Previous roles include Chief of Mission in Somalia and Nigeria, where Frantz undertook complex missions involving humanitarian responses and represented IOM in key UN meetings. Additionally, Frantz managed significant projects related to migration governance in West Africa and migration reintegration in the Caribbean. Frantz was also a COVID-19 Coordinator for the United Nations System in Nigeria, ensuring the health and safety of UN staff during the pandemic. Co-founding the Center For Peace Building International, Frantz has been involved in draft regulations and organizational founding processes. Academic background includes studies at American University from 2002 to 2004.
