Matthew Peterson

Matthew Peterson serves as the Business HR Leader for the U.S. Mill System at International Paper since September 2013, where responsibilities encompass overseeing HR functions at a division level. Prior roles at International Paper include Business HR Manager for Containerboard Manufacturing and Mill Human Resources Manager for various mills, managing employee relations, labor relations, talent development, recruitment, and employee engagement for teams of over 400 to 3,800 employees. Previously, Matthew held positions at Kellogg Company and Chas. P. Young Co., including roles as a Human Resources Generalist and Management Associate, and began a career in human resources as an intern at Kellogg Company. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Marketing, and Management from the University of Mississippi.
