Bitania Tadesse is a seasoned policy specialist with extensive experience in advocacy and program management, currently serving at the International Peace Institute (IPI) since August 2023. Previously, Tadesse held the position of Director of Programs at Amani Africa Media and Research Services from February 2019 to August 2023, and served as a Policy and Advocacy Advisor at the Norwegian Refugee Council Pan African Liaison Office with the African Union from September 2016 to February 2019. Additional roles include Post-2015 Officer at Save the Children International and Assistant Advocacy Officer at Femmes Africa Solidarité. Tadesse holds a Master of Science in African Studies from the University of Oxford and a Master’s degree in Peace and Security Studies from the Institute for Peace and Security Studies, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University.
