Patricio F. Gajardo is a seasoned professional in the fields of democracy and electoral processes, currently serving as the Resident Program Director at the International Republican Institute since February 2012. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Democracy and Elections Advisor at the United States Agency for International Development from July 2008 to January 2012, and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Organizacion de Estados Americanos for a brief period in 2006. Additionally, Patricio held the position of Program Director for The Americas at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems from 2000 to 2004. Patricio earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Latin American Studies from California State University, Chico, between 1988 and 1991.
