Mayra Jimenez

Mayra Jimenez currently serves as the Regional Deputy Director of US Legal Services at the International Rescue Committee, where responsibilities include providing legal and programmatic support to IRC’s offices in the southern border region assisting refugees and immigrants. Prior to this role, Mayra held various positions at RAICES from January 2013 to December 2022, including Interim Chief Programs Officer, where leadership focused on integrating legal, social, and advocacy services during a CEO transition, and Vice President of Legal Services, overseeing a comprehensive Legal Department. Mayra also directed the Children’s Program, delivering legal services to unaccompanied minors, and began as a Staff Attorney, representing clients in immigration matters. Education includes a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, supplemented by professional education at The University of Texas at Austin.
