Shohei Nanji

Shohei Nanji is a consultant at the International Rescue Committee's Airbel Impact Lab as of October 2024, focusing on developing a humanitarian impact investment fund targeting startups in Africa and the Middle East. Previously, Nanji held various roles at CrossBoundary from January 2020 to April 2024, including Associate Principal for the Fund for Nature, where Nanji co-led fundraising and deal-sourcing for nature-based carbon credit projects, and the East Africa Advisory team, contributing to the establishment of operations in Uganda. Earlier experience includes an Analyst position at Lazard Asset Management, sourcing investment opportunities for a $1B equity portfolio, and an internship at Novastar Ventures, where Nanji researched investment opportunities in East Africa. Nanji holds a dual degree, Magna Cum Laude, from The Wharton School and studied at Kyoto University.
