Dr. Amitava Srimany is an Associate Scientist at the International Rice Research Institute since March 2019, previously holding the position of Assistant Scientist. Dr. Srimany's extensive experience in analytical chemistry encompasses roles at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from July 2010 to July 2017, including Project Officer, Institute Pre-Doctoral Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, and Junior Research Fellow, focusing on mass spectrometry and chromatography. Prior to these roles, Dr. Srimany completed a summer internship at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where the focus was on dendrimer synthesis and characterization. Dr. Srimany earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from IIT Madras in 2015, a Master's degree in Chemistry from IIT Madras in 2010, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta in 2008.
