Joanna Kane-Potaka

Joanna Kane-Potaka is the Deputy Director General - Strategy, Engagement & Impact at the International Rice Research Institute. Joanna is also the Executive Director & co-founder of Choosing SmarterFoods, aiming to drive demand for food that meets UN SGDs by 2030 and Climate Change targets by 2050. With a background in marketing and economics, Joanna has held various leadership roles in organizations such as ICRISAT, Bioversity International, and the WorldFish Center. Joanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Global Marketing.
