Marco van Den Berg

Marco van den Berg has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as a Consultant and Chief Information Officer at the International Rice Research Institute since November 2006. In this role, Marco oversees strategic direction for various teams, including Information Technology Services and Management Information Systems for administrative functions utilizing a cloud-based ERP system. Previous positions include Head of ICT Unit at Greenpeace International and Head of ICT at the Office of the High Representative. Marco has also held roles such as Service Director at Exodus Communications, Head of IT Services at ICRAF, Software Development Specialist at CIMMYT, and Software Developer at Philips. Educational background includes a VWO degree from Christelijke Scholengemeenschap Rijswijk, completed in 1976.
