Yvonne Pinto

Yvonne Pinto is the current Director General at the International Rice Research Institute, a position held since April 2024. Prior roles include Director of Strategy, Innovation & Sustainability at Eagle Genomics and Managing Director at ALINE Impact Limited. Pinto has extensive experience in agricultural development, having served as Director of the Agricultural Learning and Impacts Network, Investigator at Imperial College London, and Programme Manager at FAO. With a solid academic background, Pinto holds a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Reading, as well as an MSc and PhD from Imperial College London, complemented by additional postdoctoral fellowships.
