Alex Newgard

Alex Newgard is an experienced school counselor currently working at International School Manila since June 2022, with prior positions at International School of Hyderabad and Edge High School. With a strong background in social and emotional counseling, Alex has facilitated group sessions and provided individual support to students, focusing on coping skills and healthy decision-making. Previous experience includes serving as a Children and Family Therapist Intern at Trillium Family Services, where Alex developed care plans and supported behavioral development, and as a School Counseling Intern at College Bridge Academy, where partnerships were created to assist young adults facing significant barriers. Alex holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Westminster, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University.
