Alesha Anderson

Alesha Anderson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international literacy and education. As a Senior Program Officer at ProLiteracy Worldwide since October 2008, Alesha oversees international programs across 25+ countries, focusing on in-country training, curriculum design, Edtech tool implementation, and advocacy for mother-tongue literacy. Alesha's previous role as International Program Manager involved managing field programs and training educators in literacy instruction. Alesha's earlier experience includes an internship with The Salvation Army, supporting anti-human trafficking initiatives, and a position as a Spanish Translator at the University of Cape Town, facilitating access to education for foreign inmates. Alesha holds a Master's degree in International Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Denver.
