Amir Sarayani

Amir Sarayani is an accomplished professional in the field of epidemiology and pharmacy, currently serving as Associate Director of Global Epidemiology at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine since January 2023. At J&J, Amir leads epidemiological efforts for drug candidates and approved products, oversees joint Post Authorization Safety Studies (PASS), and contributes to initiatives such as the J&J Pregnancy and Lactation Advisory Group and Active Safety Surveillance Using Real-world Evidence. Additionally, Amir holds the position of Courtesy Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and serves as Co-Chair of the BRACE Special Interest Group with the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology. Previous experience includes roles as Pharmacy Manager and Associate Director at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, along with significant contributions as a pharmacist and research associate. Amir's educational background includes a PhD in Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy from the University of Florida, a PharmD and MPH from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Florida.
