Abdurahman M. Al Hassan has extensive work experience in the field of telecommunications and information technology. Abdurahman is currently working at a confidential company, where they hold a role that started in April 2020. Prior to this, they held several roles at various organizations. From 2015 to 2020, they served as the Vice President of the Smart Cities and Internet of Things Study Group at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T). Abdurahman was also a Councilor of Saudi Arabia at the ITU-T from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they functioned as the Focal Point for Saudi Arabia at the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development from 2017 to 2020. At the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), they worked as the General Manager of International Affairs from 2017 to 2020. In 2017, they were the President of the Working Group on International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) at the League of Arab States. Prior to these roles, they held positions at the National Committee for Information Society (NCIS) as the Director from 2015 to 2017 and at CITC as a Communication Professional and Communications Specialist from 2008 to 2016. Abdurahman also worked as a Project Manager at SABIC from 2007 to 2008.
Abdurahman M. Al Hassan has completed an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Abdurahman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. Abdurahman also has a Master of Science Degree in Communication Engineering from King Saud University. Additionally, they have obtained the Balanced Scorecard Master Professional certification from The George Washington University. Recently, in 2019-2020, Abdurahman attended Harvard Business School for an EMBA Alternative in Leadership and Management.
