Ann Matthews

Ann Matthews has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Ann began their career as a Research Assistant at NC College of Textiles in 1987. From there, they worked as an Assistant Plant Manager at O'Neill, where they were responsible for loading and scheduling production.

In 1991, Ann joined Levi Strauss & Co as a Product Engineer and Manager of Special Projects. During their time there, they played a key role in the creation of one of the first Fabric Extranets in the industry and received recognition for their ability to "really listen to users." Ann also participated in a process improvement project across the supply chain and conducted industrial engineering reviews of jeanswear plants in South America.

After leaving Levi Strauss & Co in 2001, Ann ventured into entrepreneurship and became the Owner of Simple Kneads Bakery. Ann managed this business until 2004 when they joined Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants & Hotels, Inc as a Database Manager.

In 2006, Ann joined Gilbarco Veeder-Root as a Data Analyst and MS Access Developer before transitioning to VF Corporation, Inc in 2008. At VF Corporation, they worked as an Architect for PC Based Applications, coordinating offshore developers and testers while optimizing report designs.

From 2010 to 2011, Ann worked at ITG International Textile Group as a Business Analyst, .Net Developer, and later as the Manager of Apparel Product Development. In this role, they managed a merchandising staff of 20, improved tracking and quality through the implementation of systems and processes, and significantly increased on-time delivery.
