Yuki Fujiyama

Director, U.s. Commercial Service Toledo at International Trade Administration

Yuki Fujiyama has a diverse work experience spanning several government agencies and departments. From 1993 to 1999, Yuki worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, serving as a Staff Assistant, Legislative Assistant, and Senior Staff Member. In 1994, Yuki also worked as a Campaign Staff Member for Friends of George Brown. From 2000 to 2004, Yuki was an Assistant to the Director of Administrative Resources at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In 2012, Yuki had a 120-day detail assignment as a Senior Business Development Specialist at the Minority Business Development Agency. Yuki has also worked extensively at the International Trade Administration, holding roles such as Trade Finance Specialist, Global Finance Team Leader, Deputy Global Finance Team Leader for Trade Finance, and Director of the U.S. Commercial Service Toledo. Additionally, Yuki served as the Designated Federal Officer of the U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Finance Advisory Council from 2019 to 2021.

Yuki Fujiyama holds a variety of certifications and degrees in business and global management. In 1990, Yuki obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from West Los Angeles College. Following that, Yuki completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from Loyola Marymount University in 1993. Yuki then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Marketing from California State University-San Bernardino in 1994.

Continuing their education, Yuki obtained an Executive Certificate in Global Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2019. This was followed by an Executive Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the same institution, which will be completed in 2022.

In terms of additional certifications, Yuki obtained a Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) certification from FCIB - The Finance, Credit, and International Business Association in 2005. In 2012, Yuki achieved an International Certified Credit Executive (ICCE) certification from the same institution. Additionally, Yuki obtained a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) certification from NASBITE International in 2017 and a Registered Global Credit Professional (RGCP) certification from ICTF - The Association of International Credit and Trade Finance Professionals in 2020.
