Richard Heath

Richard Heath has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Richard started their career in 1983 at Smith & Nephew, where they worked as a Skin Biologist and later became the Head of Physiology and Head of Corporate Trade Marks. In 1992, they joined Unilever as a Senior Trade Mark Manager and eventually held positions such as Head of Corporate Trade Marks, Head of Corporate Trade Marks & General Trade Mark Counsel, and VP Legal - Global Anti-Counterfeiting Counsel.

Throughout their career, Heath has also been involved in several professional organizations. Richard served as the Co-Chairman of BASCAP at the International Chamber of Commerce and the President of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Richard was a Senior Policy Advisor at the International Chamber of Commerce and a Special Advisor and Council Chair at the ACG (Anti-Counterfeiting Group).

In 2010, Heath founded their own company, Richard Heath (IP) Associates, where they served as the Founder & Managing Director. Richard also worked as a Contributing Photographer for iStock, specializing in global travel, landscape, and nature photography.

Heath later joined PTMG (Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group) as the Group Treasurer and Board Director in 2002. Richard also held the role of Senior Policy Advisor - Intellectual Property at Gowling WLG.
