Jay Strother

Jay Strother has extensive work experience in various leadership and communications roles. From 1990 to 1993, they worked as the Director of Communications at the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. Jay then joined the Association of Legal Administrators, where they served as the Associate Publisher/Editor-in-Chief from 1993 to 2005. During their tenure, they oversaw editorial, advertising sales, and design functions, and played a key role in shaping the association's web presence.

In 2005, Strother moved to SmithBucklin, where they held the position of Senior Manager Marketing and Communications Services/Group Publisher until 2010. Jay led the Marketing & Communication Services unit and successfully delivered association marketing collateral, event promotion, and membership publications.

In 2010, Strother established their own company called Strother Communications & Marketing, where they served as the Principal for a year. Shortly after, in 2011, they became involved with the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA), initially as the IWLA Vice President/Executive Director IWLA Canada. In this role, they focused on driving value for members and overseeing various departments within the association. Later in 2022, Strother was promoted to the President & CEO of the IWLA, where they continue to contribute towards the success of the association.

Outside of their primary roles, Strother also served as a Board Member, Book Sale Chairman, and Newsletter Editor at Arlington Heights Memorial Library from 2004 to 2017.

Overall, Strother's career has been marked by their expertise in communications, marketing, and leadership, as well as their ability to drive value for associations and create meaningful experiences for members.
