Marie Whaley is a prominent expert in water management and infrastructure strategy, currently serving as Founder and Director at Metis (Int) Limited since September 2021. With extensive experience, Marie holds multiple leadership roles within the International Water Association, including Senior Vice President - Non Executive Director, Treasurer, Board Member, and Chair of the UK Board. Marie is also a member of the London Mayor's Infrastructure Advisory Panel and has held significant positions at Arup, Affinity Water, Thames Water, and Northumbrian Water Group. Additionally, Marie was involved with UNESCO as an IHP Advisory Group Member and served as IAM Patron at the Institute of Asset Management. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Fluid Mechanics and Master's degrees in both Resilience and Thermodynamics, alongside a Civils Engineering degree from Grandes Ecoles - Paris.
