Melanie Koch

Melanie serves as a Director at the International WELL Building Institute where she supports organizations as they create healthier spaces, buildings and communities. As a member of the Commercial team, Melanie provides technical guidance to individual WELL projects and global WELL portfolios as they seek to advance building performance and improve occupant well-being. Melanie also leads sector development for sports & entertainment venues and retail & restaurants.

Prior to joining IWBI, Melanie worked at Delos where she consulted on the world’s first WELL Certified projects and supported organizations in adopting health-focused design and policy strategies. Previously, Melanie worked at the Clinton Global Initiative and an international non-profit organization that provides access to clean water and sanitation.

Melanie graduated from Tulane University with an MSPH in Global Environmental Health Sciences and holds her WELL AP and WELL Faculty credentials.

Prior to joining IWBI, Melanie worked at Delos as an Associate on the Solutions team where, in collaboration with architects, engineers, and building owners, she developed wellness-focused design and policy strategies for some of the world’s first WELL Certified projects. Previously, Melanie worked at an environmental consulting firm, the Clinton Global Initiative, and an international non-profit that provides access to clean water and sanitation.

Melanie graduated from Tulane University with an MSPH in Global Environmental Health Sciences and is a WELL AP.
