Tony Heard

Tony Heard is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in research and development and operational excellence. Currently serving as Vice President R&D, Operational Excellence at International, Tony previously held several key leadership roles at Navistar Inc. since 1998, including Vice President Operational Excellence, R&D, Director of Operations, Engineering Director, and multiple Chief Engineer positions. Notable responsibilities included managing quality standards, leading cross-functional product launches, and directing teams of engineers across various projects. Additionally, Tony has experience in manufacturing program management and product validation, having started their career as a lead manufacturing engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems. Tony holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
