Cara Atkinson

Cara Atkinson is a skilled professional with extensive experience in project management and fundraising within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as the Projects Officer for the Internet Watch Foundation since April 2022, Cara oversees the grant programme and coordinates funded projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. Previously, Cara held the position of Project Manager at Solace Women's Aid, managing key projects that provided crucial support to approximately 12,000 women and girls affected by violence in 2020/21. Additionally, Cara contributed as a Project Officer at Standing Together Against Domestic Violence, focusing on the Whole Housing approach across multiple councils. Early career experience includes roles at the Women's Resource Centre and British Red Cross, alongside research work with Social Vision. Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree from UCL in Gender, Society and Representation.
