Adam Phelps

Adam Phelps has worked in the IT industry since 2009. Adam began their career as a Computer Technician for Pitt County Government in Greenville, NC. In 2009, they also began working for East Carolina University, where they held various roles including System Analyst, Networking Analyst, Technical Support Analyst, and Technical Support Technician. In 2018, they joined Beaufort County as a Network Administrator, where they were responsible for the setup and configuration of network firewalls, campus switching, wireless infrastructure, policy engines, DNS protection services, endpoint protection, network monitoring tools, and network security/device management. In 2021, they joined Internetwork Engineering as a Network Engineer.

Adam Phelps has a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from East Carolina University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2015. Adam also has a BSBN in Management of Information Systems from East Carolina University - College of Business, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications from Cisco: a Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) in November 2022, a Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core in September 2020, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) in May 2017.
