Eveleen Tang, Ph.D.

Engineering Adviser Polymer Drug Formulation at Intersect ENT

Eveleen Tang, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of biocompatibility and product development in the medical device industry. Eveleen began their career at Johnson & Johnson as a COSAT Intern, studying drug impregnated catheter systems. Eveleen then worked at Curis Inc as a Project Lead and Senior R&D Scientist, managing a biomaterials grant and developing new hydrogel materials for regenerative medicine applications. At Guidant Corp, Eveleen served as a Senior R&D Engineer, leading projects on drug eluting stents and optimizing coating parameters. Eveleen continued their work on drug eluting stents at Abbott, where they held the positions of Principal Engineer and Biocompatibility Scientist, Manager. In these roles, they conducted in vitro and in vivo degradation studies, performed leachability and extractability studies, and managed a team to support biocompatibility evaluations for FDA and CE submissions. Eveleen then joined Amaranth Medical, Inc. as a Principal Engineer and later as a Product Development Manager, overseeing daily activities, project management, and collaboration with vendors and consultants. Currently, they are an Engineering Adviser Polymer Drug Formulation at Intersect ENT, Inc.

Eveleen Tang, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomaterials / Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, where they were enrolled from 1993 to 1995.
