Cynthia Awiya

Cynthia Awiya has a diverse work experience spanning from 2015 to the present. Cynthia is currently working as an Internal Audit Manager at Interswitch Group, a position they assumed in September 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they served as a Senior Internal Auditor at Vetiva Capital Management Limited. Cynthia also worked as an Internal Auditor at Access Bank Plc from 2017 to 2019. Cynthia'scareer began in 2015 with a role as an Account Trainee at the Lagos State Government, specifically in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.

Cynthia Awiya holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Redeemer's University. In 2020, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance and Investment from Ahmadu Bello University, which they completed in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Cynthia has obtained various certifications. In 2013, they acquired the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) certification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Cynthia went on to receive the ACIB certification from The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria in April 2018, followed by the ACA designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in May 2018.

Cynthia has also completed several professional certifications more recently. In November 2022, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com. Cynthia then acquired the ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems from TÜV SüD in December 2022. In March 2023, they earned the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification for Quality Management Systems from TÜV SüD. Additionally, in August 2023, they completed the Information Security Risk Assessment Process ISO 27001:2013 certification from Udemy.

Lastly, Cynthia has obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications certification from World Education Services in March 2020 and has completed The Complete Investment Banking Course 2022 certification from Udemy in December 2022.
